FOUNDING CRAFTSMAN

BRIAN WHITE

I started out in carpentry when I was about eleven years old.  My parents used to buy new/used homes, move in and start fixing them up, so there were always projects to work on.  Ever since I was about seventeen, I have always been gravitating towards the creative side of woodworking, rather than the industrial side of carpentry.  Woodworking is a passion, a creative outlet and you might even say it’s a form of therapy.  I make things that people will find truly unique and personal.  And nothing that I make is ever truly repeatable.  My main specialty will always be hand-crafted wooden briefcases.  I had never seen one so I decided to make a few and gave them away as gifts, and they were received with great appreciation.  It is my hope that these unique items find their way into your hands, so you can enjoy them as much as my hands enjoyed creating them.

TESTIMONIALS

Participating in Brian’s carpentry class introduced me to a new skill in a way that felt empowering. The passion, zest, wisdom, thoroughness and eagerness he met us with was exactly the kind of energy needed for a successful learning environment. It was fun and precise, and as a pregnant woman with no prior building experience, I felt completely safe and supported in trying my hand at something new that has  previously felt daunting.

I highly recommend joining his class to receive exceptional support whilst venturing into this craft. I am super grateful to now have the beginnings of such a valuable skill added to the tool belt of my life.

The woodworking class was very informative and inclusive, even for children. And I love the hands-on approach. It’s evident that Brian truly cares about his craft and the students he’s teaching.

It's taken me years to find a teacher like Brian. I have taken carpentry classes at makerspaces, and taken tiny home building courses. It wasn't until I received one on one instruction from Brian that I really felt like I was truly learning. I received careful and precise guidance and coaching during my carpentry lessons that have made me feel like I truly integrated the skills. I recently made $1500 worth of shelves on my own with $200 of extra spending. I feel so empowered with these life changing lessons.
